Well done! Thank you. Worthy of the movie I saw on Friday night.

Also, if your attention span is so short that you feel like 12 to 15 pages is book length go back to school

“Bro,” I’m a cancer patient who has been writing in bed for the past six years, diligently working on and waiting for the opportunity to finally publish my essays. I’ve been immersed in this endeavor for six long years, and you have no idea what you’re talking about. I have no other option but to sit at home and write, and I refuse to let you discourage me. I understand that your opinion doesn’t matter, but it doesn’t make it any less important. The essay you criticized was written over five days with minimal sleep, driven by a sense of urgency and determination. It holds immense significance for me, and I won’t let you deter me from pursuing my passion.

“For three hours, the dead stand upright in the dark and ask whether we recognize them” is a hell of a line to close on. This is criticism doing what criticism should, sending you back to the film with new eyes.
